HOWARD COUNTY - Howard County officials are looking for a new home for the malnourished horses they confiscated earlier this month.

12 horses were found earlier this month malnourished and dying.

One animal was in such bad shape that it had to be euthanized.

The Sheriff's Office picked up the 11 horses and took them to a temporary location to be looked after by a vet.

Now they are trying to find the horses a good home

If you're interested, an auction will be held on Friday at the Big Spring Animal Shelter at 1 p.m.

You need to bring cash and a trailer to transport the horses.

Charges have been filed against the original owner.
