MIDLAND - The Fairmont Church of Christ in Midland may play host to out-of-towners but some people aren't pleased.

The Midland City Council granted the church a first reading temporary permit to park about 20 RV's in their parking lot on north Midland Drive.

The RV's will house members of a ministry group.

It's part of an outreach program put on by Fairmont.

However, neighbors want the trailers parked elsewhere.

They're afraid that when members come to church on Sundays and Wednesdays, there won't be a place to park.

The church say's the Target store next door has agreed to offer their parking lot if the church lot becomes full.

The RV's will be there from April 13th through April 29th.

The item will be considered for a final time at next month's City Council meeting.
