ODESSA - We have all noticed the trash pilling up on the side of the road but not many of us are willing to roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty. Now one local business is providing a big incentive to keep the Basin clean.

"Trash in West Odessa is pretty common. We want to do everything we can and get citizens out and help pick up trash, so that our community that we live in work in will be a better place," Cody Young with the Midessa Recycling Group, said.

Cody Young came up with an idea to try and help bring more people to clean up West Odessa.

"I had expressed it to our owners and to the Ector County Environmental Office, they were supportive and on board," Young said.

Cody Young thought by raffling something big that might get people's attention.

"We are offering to any citizen that would like to come and help that if they come out and complete a four hour clean up with the Ector County Environmental Enforcement Office, we would give them a raffle ticket for a 2012 Ford F-150," Young said.

If you come and help pick up trash, you have chance to win a brand new Ford Truck. That is why they have partnered with clean up West Odessa and the Environmental Enforcement Office. Starting April 14, you will be able to pick up trash and enter to win a brand new truck.

"We have got so much support now. We are totally excited, we are going to be doing more clean-ups than twice a month," Beverly Ferguson with Clean Up West Odessa, said.

Midessa Recycling group is also offering tickets to customers who recycle. All they want to do is try and keep areas clean.

"We work in West Odessa and our business is in West Odessa, so we wanted to do everything we could to get people to help clean up the West side of Odessa," Young said.

"Come on out and help us out. This is our community, this is for everyone," Ferguson said.

The truck will be raffled on December 7th, that gives residents plenty of time to help clean up.
