MIDLAND - A bar fight, involving a pregnant woman, lands a Midland man behind bars.
33-year-old Casey Powell is charged with aggravated assault.
We're told a Midland police officer was trying to defuse a fight at Torino's Pizza Bar.
The victim had a gash on her chin, bleeding gums and her bottom teeth were knocked in.
She was also about four months pregnant.
The victim told the officer that she was joking with Powell's girlfriend.
But says the girlfriend was so drunk that she didn't take the joke very well, so she punched the victim in the face.
Powell joined the fight by throwing a high-ball glass in the pregnant woman's face.
Several witness reports confirmed the victim's claims.
She was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Powell and his girlfriend were arrested.
