ODESSA - Plans for more oil drilling are drawing protests from people in Odessa.
Now the City Council will have to decide what the future holds for the piece of land.
The three sites would be near Mission Dorado.
This area was originally slated for more offices and future developments.
Now the landowners will need permission to change the land's purpose to use it for drilling instead.
The sites would all be located 150 feet away from surrounding businesses and residents.
But neighbors say that's not good enough.
They said they don't want to have to deal with the smells, increased traffic and noise.
The City Council will head up the issue onFfebruary 14 and they will have the final say.
