MIDLAND - A former Midland High football star and NFL player will be in the Basin to speak about our disturbing suicide trend.
The Pittsburgh Steelers running back will be speaking at a Church in Midland next weekend.
Batch will share his personal story and how to hold onto hope in life.
Batch told NewsWest 9 he contacted the church after he heard about the rash of teen suicides that has seemed to take over in the Tall City.
The event will be at the First Baptist Church on West Louisiana next Saturday at 6:30 pm.
Students are encouraged to come out.
There will be an open discussion with Batch.
