ANDREWS - New Information in a story NewsWest 9 first broke.
The Texas Education Agency has opened an investigation into Terri Ragland, the Special Education Teacher at Clearfork Elementary, in Andrews.
Ragland is accused of abuse within the classroom. This comes after a parent claims she recorded 14 hours of audio in Ragland's classroom.
The TEA plans on following the same investigation as other entities involved. They will review evidence on file, as well as interview witnesses. The Andrews Police Department and CPS are also investigating.
Last week the District moved forward with terminating Ragland's contract. The TEA says they can only take action against Ragland's teaching certificate.
