FORT STOCKTON - Fort Stockton police have a dangerous prowler on their hands and they need your help.
On Saturday, officers were called out to a home in the 1600 block of Westwind.
The victim told police she found her dog stabbed inside a storage unit at her home.
She found her dog covered in blood, with a blue nylon tarp on the ground next to it.
The woman told officers she saw a body like figure underneath the tarp and thought it was the dog's pillow.
The tarp had a cell phone on top of it with the knife and began to move.
That's when she realized a person was underneath and ran inside her home to call police.
The suspect was wearing a green and white stripes shirt and looked younger with brown hair.
Police are urging everyone to be on alert.
The woman's dog is recovering.
