PECOS - A new ordinance in Pecos is cracking down on commercial trucks.

The city says too many of these big trucks are parking on city property and in neighborhoods.

Officials say it's a safety hazard and it's breaking down their roads.

The new ordinance says if a company is bringing in more than two trucks, they have to rent their own space or use their own lot.

If those trucks are found still parked on city property, they will be fined $500 a day.
