BIG SPRING - A Big Spring park is getting a unique gift that now anyone can check out.

The Comanche Trail Park will be receiving a giant arrow that will be installed near the historic spring.

The arrow was sculpted by a Texas artist and signifies that Native Americans once stood on that plat of land.

Specifically, the Comanche Tribe traveled through and was led by Chief Quanah Parker.

The unique markers have been placed all around the panhandle and indicate the area has been researched and authenticated.

A unique fact, the city's historical spring was once a feeding ground for buffalo and is where the tribe fought for hunting and water rights.
