Six People Arrested for Trying to Steal Gas in Midland County

MIDLAND COUNTY - Trying to hijack gas in Midland County got a gang of people thrown behind bars.

After reports of fuel being stolen from West Texas Gas, a joint operation was formed to find the culprits.

The Midland County Sheriff's Office joined with the Texas Highway Patrol and the Texas Comptroller's Office.

After investigating a few days, the suspects appeared at a station in Midland County.

Apparently vehicles were being swapped one after the other and filled with stolen gas.

Officers arrested six people and their semi's and SUV's were seized.

36-year-old Jose Delbosque, who was the main suspect and also thought to be the ring leader, was arrested.

Also taken in were 41-year-old Blanca Ronquillo-Corrales, 55-year-old Jose Dominquez, 38-year-old Aden Cardenas, 38-year-old Alfonso Cordova and 38-year-old Carlos Chavez.

Everyone was charged with organized criminal activity and theft.
