MIDLAND - Three suspects accused of gunning down and killing a Midland man appeared in federal court on Tuesday morning.

The judge ordered that Reginald Anders, Jr. be detained without bond.

Anders was found to be both a threat to the community and a flight risk.

Both Edwin Smith and Grant Fowler waived their hearings and agreed to remain in federal custody.

Back on December 23, police were called out to the Parks at Caldera Apartments.

That's where they found 25-year-old Tovorian Carter shot in the chest at an apartment.

He later died at Midland Memorial Hospital.
