MIDLAND - Midland fire crews had to work to keep a fire from reaching an oil company office.
The fire sparked up at around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning near the Baker Hughes offices alongside I-20 and Loop 250.
The Midland Fire Department, Midland County Fire Department and the Northeast Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire.
An estimated 10 acres burned before crews were able to get the blaze under control.
The fire was put out in about an hour.
Midland County Fire Marshal Dale Little says with the fire being right off the highway, there is no known cause for the fire yet.
