A heater treater fire in Howard County causes thousands of dollars in damage on Friday night.
The equipment caught fire on west FM 849 in the Knott community.
A heater treater heats an emulsion and removes water and gas from oil.
Volunteer fire crews were able to keep the flames from spreading to anything else.
They estimate the damage at $35,000.
