If you're an Xcel Energy customer in eastern New Mexico, get ready to pay higher rates.
Starting on Sunday, about 100,000 customers will see their electric bills go up.
This comes after state regulators approved a rate increase averaging about 4.7 percent.
Xcel officials say the increase should bring in about $13.5 million more a year.
The increase in revenue will pay for generating stations, transmission lines and other improvements.
