Man Arrested After Shooting in Odessa

ODESSA - Odessa Police have arrested a suspect after another man was shot on Saturday morning.

Police say a man was driving in the 1100 block of Douglas around 8:45 a.m. when three men, one he knew and two he did not, started shooting at him.

The 36-year-old was shot in the left arm and hand. He drove to family member's home after he was shot.

Police were then called to a disturbance in the 5700 block of North Tom Green. Police say the subjects in that disturbance were possibly involved in the earlier shooting.

Police arrested 30-year-old Richard Lopez, Jr.

He has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He is now in the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
