ODESSA - Hundreds of Odessa families will have presents under the tree this Christmas all thanks to some little angels.
The Salvation Army had their angel tree distributions on Wednesday.
More than 300 families and more than 1,000 children took home toys, clothes and food.
The Salvation Army says they saw a spike in the number of families needing and asking for help this year.
A recent donation of $50,000, combined with toys, helped bring the spirit of Christmas alive.
"We see happiness. We see gratitude. We see thankfulness. They are happy they can give Christmas to their children and they are happy the community has been so willing and giving, of themselves, for allowing them to do that, this year," Corps. Administrator, Sgt. Bernadette Correira, said.
Families also received gift certificates from Albertson's to cash in for turkeys or hams for Christmas dinner.
