MIDLAND - A car plowed through the fence at the Lone Star Sanctuary in Midland.

On Saturday morning when volunteers got the animal shelter, they found a fence that protects one of their kennels completely torn apart.

Two dogs also got out of that area.

They're not exactly sure what happened but it looks like someone might've lost control and slammed into the fence.

One dog was later found but another is still missing.

The missing dog has been at the shelter for nine years.

The dog is described as a female black Lab and Sheppard mix with white on her chest. She also has pointy ears and is micro-chipped.

If you've seen the dog, you're asked to call the Lone Star Sanctuary.
