When it comes to the economy, West Texas remains strong.
New unemployment rates were released on Friday and once again Midland came out on top.
The Tall City has the lowest unemployment rate in the state at 4.1 percent.
The highest unemployment is in the Brownsville-Harlingen area at 11.2 percent.
The unemployment rate in the state is under the national average.
Texas gained more than 22,000 private sector jobs in November and more than 280,000 over the past 12 months.
