BIG SPRING - Trying to cook a meal results in a scary moment for one Big Spring resident.
A cooking fire erupted in the kitchen of a home in the 1100 block of Mulberry Avenue.
While trying to extinguish the fire, the person suffered non-life threatening injuries from hot grease.
Damage to the kitchen was minimal.
