PRESIDIO - We have an update for you on the rescued horses in Presidio.
They are now available for adoption.
You'll remember back in September, two dozen horses were seized by the Presidio County Sheriff's Office after accusations of abuse and neglect.
The horses were given to a local non-profit in Alpine called "Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue."
A few horses didn't make it, but since then, the group has nursed 19 back to health.
So far, seven horses have been adopted and the rest are looking for a new home.
Lifesavers is also doing a holiday fundraiser called "Stuff Our Hay Stockings" that will go to fund the hay, grain and medications.
