HOBBS - Hobbs Police have arrested an inmate for the murder of another inmate back in October.
47-year-old Ares Brown is charged with the murder of 52-year-old Chris Phillips at the Lea County Correctional Facility.
Phillips died of blunt force trauma to the head after the two men got into a fight. He died at an Albuquerque hospital.
Brown is charged with Second Degree Murder. He is currently in prison for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, armed robbery with deadly weapon and several other charges.
