HOWARD COUNTY - Now that the Federal Emergency Management Agency has declared Howard County a disaster area, money will be coming their way.
Last month, Howard County was declared a disaster area because of the horrendous drought.
Now when a fire hits in the future, the city will be reimbursed for 75 percent of the costs.
That includes paying for emergency services both city and county.
It's up to the county to keep a detailed expense report every month.
Howard County Judge Mark Barr says they'll be getting FEMA assistance until the drought is over.
