Blowing dust outside the NewsWest9 studios around 1:00 Wednesday afternoon.A strong cold front has started blowing into the area. Temperatures will steadily drop throughout the afternoon and evening.
The northern sections of the Permian Basin including Andrews, Seminole, Hobbs and Lamesa are under a Freeze Warning for Thursday morning. The Midland-Odessa-Big Spring area will get close to the freezing mark and there could be a light freeze in some areas.
The front has kicked up the winds with a lots of dust blowing around the area. Be careful Wednesday afternoon if you driving on area roadways as visibilities will be reduced.
