HOBBS, N.M. - Hobbs Police have made an arrest in connection with the death of an Odessa man.
You'll remember, Hobbs Police responded to a call of a single vehicle crash on Thursday morning. When officers arrived they found 54-year-old Robert Vasquez of Odessa dead with an apparent gunshot wound.
Hobbs Police tell NewsWest 9 through the course of their investigation they learned Vasquez, 38-year-old Cynthia Luna of Hobbs and 26-year-old Antoine Franklin of Hobbs, were in a hotel room when Vasquez went to his car to make a phone call. Luna then left the room and returned with two other men, one of whom pointed a gun and demanded money then went outside to where Vasquez was parked and gunshots were fired.
Antoine Franklin has been arrested and charged with Accessory to Murder, Tampering with Evidence, Attempt to Commit Robbery and Felon in possession of a firearm. Bond for Antoine Franklin has been set at $1 million.
Luna has been arrested and charged with Trafficking Cocaine and Accessory to Robbery. Bond for Luna has been set at $60,000.
Hobbs Police are also looking for 21-year-old Randall Franklin in connection with the incident. Randall is a Black male, 5'8" tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Randall does have ties to Florida as well as Hobbs, N.M.
