Ratliff Stadium Traffic Plan for OHS-Permian Game

Odessa Police Department Press Release

On Friday, October 28, 2011, Odessa High and Permian High will continue their cross-town rivalry. As always, the Odessa Police Department will be on hand to coordinate traffic with the Ector County Independent School District Police and to ensure a safe and efficient flow of traffic into and out of Ratliff stadium. The traffic flow before and after the game, primarily at the intersection of Yukon and Grandview will be slightly modified to expedite entering and exiting from the stadium.

Before the game:  The only traffic coming out of the stadium will be through the north east gates. Odessa High fans are asked to enter east bound on Yukon to the main gates. Once inside you will be directed by law enforcement.

Permian High fans are asked to travel North on Grandview from 52nd street to enter the East gates and the main gate.

After the game: Vehicles exiting the main gate will be diverted east and west on Yukon. Vehicles exiting out the east gates will be diverted south bound on N. Grandview. Vehicles exiting the north gate will be diverted east and west on Charles Walker Road. Vehicles exited east bound on Charles Walker Road will be diverted north bound on North Grandview.

Parents who are picking up their children after the game are asked to please wait until the flow of traffic exiting the stadium has decreased before entering. This will minimize traffic congestion and motorist frustration. The only gate available to pick up children will be the northeast gates.

Motorist who are not going to the game are encouraged to plan an alternate route to their destination and avoid roads leading to the stadium.
