MARTIN COUNTY - Crews have finally capped an oil well that blew on Friday morning in Martin County.
The Martin County Sheriff tells NewsWest 9, OSHA is now at the site off Highway 176.
There is no longer the danger of H2S gas leaking out.
Highway 176 remains closed just west of FM 3033 but TXDOT officials were working to clean the road late Friday night and informed NewsWest 9 that the road could be open by midnight Saturday morning.
The well is owned by Endeavor Energy.
