Two Men Arrested for Double Shooting in Andrews

ANDREWS - Two men are behind bars after a double shooting in Andrews.

20-year-old Richard Villa and 23-year-old Guillermo Camacho are charged with attempted murder.

That's on top of several other charges including, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm.

It all started around 7 p.m. Saturday night, near northwest First Street and Avenue "I."

When Andrews Police got to the scene, they found two men with gunshot wounds.

Police Chief Bud Jones tells NewsWest 9, the victims and the suspects all know each other.

He says it started as an argument and then gunshots rang out.

The victims were taken to Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
Both were later transported to Medical Center Hospital.

Police are not releasing their names or conditions at this time.

Meanwhile, Camacho and Villa remain behind bars in Andrews.

Bond hasn't been set for either of them.
