MIDLAND - Police are investigating after a fatal shooting occurred in Midland.
Police tell NewsWest 9, they responded to a shooting call just after 6 p.m. in the 900 block of north Weatherford Street.
When officers arrived, crews transported 28-year-old Jeremy Johnson to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and the suspect fled the scene.
Johnson was pronounced dead at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Police are still searching for the suspect and detectives have not given out a description or the name of the suspect.
Officials were on the scene questioning several people and the Crime Scene Unit was also called out to the shooting.
Also, NewsWest 9 had some viewers report that there was a very heavy police presence at Midland Memorial Hospital. There were reports of officers at every entrance.
