Our local Red Cross is headed to Central Texas to help the victims of the Bastrop Fire.

We're told both Odessa and Midland units were deployed on Friday morning.

The Bastrop Fire has burning since Labor Day weekend.

So far, more than 1,400 homes have been destroyed and two people have been killed in the blaze.

At least 45 square miles have been charred by the flames.

Crews continue to scan the area for others who may have been killed in the deadly fire.
