Martin County Deputies are closer to catching a murder suspect after they nab the man who fled with him. You may remember in August, authorities said 36-year old Jose Garcia shot and killed 32 year old Anau Villagrana.

MARTIN COUNTY - Martin County Deputies are closer to catching a murder suspect after they nab the man who fled with him.

You may remember in August, authorities said 36-year old Jose Garcia shot and killed 32 year old Anau Villagrana.

Villagrana died at the hospital.

Now authorities have arrested Garcia's friend, Jose Angel Pena-Alvarez.

We're told he was caught crossing the border from Mexico into Brownsville on Wednesday.

Police believe Pena witnessed Garcia shooting the victim and then fled with him to Mexico.
