MIDLAND COUNTY - An 18-Wheeler is to blame for sparking a fire at a Midland County business.
The fire sparked up just after 1:30 p.m. in the 10800 block of West County Road 125 in Midland County.
The City of Midland tells NewsWest 9, after a preliminary investigation, it appeared a semi flat bed truck was driving by and snagged a nearby power line which caused the service line to short out.
A nearby metal building owned by E2I burst into flames due to the downed power line.
12 units responded to the fire, including Northeast Volunteer Fire Department and a brush truck from the Odessa Fire Department.
Luckily, no one was injured in the fire.
The Midland County Sheriff's Office is trying to locate the driver of the truck.
The building is considered a total loss.
