MIDLAND - The Red Cross is very busy providing help to all the fire victims across the state.
Local Red Cross officials are ready to go at any time and you can do your part to help too.
With Red Cross volunteers deployed to the east coast, following Hurricane Irene the remaining units are doing what they can to help firefighters.
"West Texans are always passionate. Of course the two things the Red Cross always is in need of are monetary donations, for this disaster and future disasters as well as volunteers to make it happen," James Parks, Director of Emergency Services, said.
Local Red Cross volunteers will know within the next 24 to 48 hours where they will be going and how they can help.
