ECTOR COUNTY - It was a busy Labor Day weekend for law enforcement.
As part of the nationwide no refusal weekend, a number of folks found themselves behind bars.
Authorities were out in full force this past weekend.
Those who were pulled over and refused to give a breathalyzer were subject to a blood test.
Charles Hodges with Stop DWI tells NewsWest 9, 25 people in Ector County were taken in for DWI on Friday and Saturday.
That's the same number of arrests usually made in one week.
Seven of those people were arrested after they refused to take a breathalyzer.
There were also two DWI related car accidents.
Hodges says he expects those charges to be upgraded to Class "A" Misdemeanors due to a new state law.
