MIDLAND - Some Sonic employees had an interesting Saturday after having to ward off a customer who came at them with nunchucks.
Midland Police were called out to the Sonic Drive-In on north Big Spring Street Saturday when reports of a violent customer came in.
Police found 21 year-old Leo Brito being pinned down to the ground by a Sonic employee.
Sonic workers said Brito had vandalized an employees vehicle, causing significant damage then fled the scene.
He later returned and began threatening employees, even trying to assault a female employee with a pair of nunchucks.
A male co-worker stepped in to help the girl, however he was attacked in the process.
That's when Brito was tackled to the ground until police arrived.
Brito was arrested for felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief and for unlawfully carrying a deadly weapon.
He is being held on a $23,000 bond.
If convicted, Brito could face up to 20 years in prison.
