MIDLAND - A Midland man remains behind bars after being arrested on Sunday on a DWI charge.

27-year-old Mario Andres Lopez Jacobo was arrested near the 4400 block of Neely Avenue after police matched his pickup with a vehicle that was reported stolen on Saturday.

According to police, Jacobo was commanded to exit his vehicle and comply with officers.

When he failed to do so, officers took Jacobo to the ground.

After refusing a breathalyzer, Jacobo was given a mandatory blood test.

He later admitted that he took the vehicle without the owners consent.

Jacobo was previously convicted of boating while intoxicated in 2007 and another DWI in 2009.

He is being held on a $15,000 bond.
