Five DPS Troopers Cleared After Firing Weapons During High Speed Chase

Five DPS Troopers are cleared of any wrongdoing after firing their weapons during a high speed chase.

The incident happened back on May 25th.

After Trooper Max Honesto pulled over a vehicle on I-20, Michael Christopher Lott shot the trooper.

A high speed chase ensued.

During the course of the chase, five troopers fired their weapons.

The case went before a grand jury and all the Troopers names were cleared.

Both Christopher Lott, Junior and Ashley Simpson were indicted on capital murder charges.

The driver, Alfonso Butler Junior, was indicted on a marijuana possession charge.
