Jobs are still booming in the Basin and the numbers are showing just that.
Our area still has the lowest unemployment rates in Texas for the tenth straight month in a row.
Overall, the unemployment rate in Texas jumped to 8.4 percent.
That number is slightly up despite the state adding more than 29,000 jobs.
Locally, Midland is still seeing some of the lowest unemployment rates in the state at 5.1 percent.
In Ector County, unemployment dropped slightly to 6.8 percent.
