Midland Man Behind Bars for Allegedly Beating Up a Man

MIDLAND - A Midland man is behind bars for allegedly beating up a man during a robbery.

23-year-old Robert Ethan Briscoe was arrested Monday night on a felony charge of aggravated robbery.

Police say Briscoe and a woman he was with, asked the victim for a ride from the Your Place bar.

Once they arrived at their destination, Briscoe demanded money, punched the victim in the face and dragged the man out of his car.

Briscoe then allegedly hit the man with a beer bottle.

Witnesses corroborated the story to police.

Police caught up with Briscoe and he was arrested.

He told officers he was involved in an un-related crime where he stole a car from a Stripes parking lot.

Briscoe told officers his female companion, identified as Elicia Kalinoski, was also with him at the time of that crime.

A warrant has been issued for her arrest.
