MIDLAND - Midland College has approved a new budget and it includes a tuition hike.
The increase is to make up for budget cuts handed down by the state.
Heading into the fall semester, tuition will rise by $9 a credit hour for in-district students and $19 an hour for out of district students.
Midland college was able to lower the tax rate about 1.2 percent.
Public hearings for the tax rate will happen in the coming weeks.
