New Details Released in Connection With Murder in Fort Stockton

FORT STOCKTON - We're learning more about a homeless man who was murdered in Fort Stockton two weeks ago.

According to information received by investigators, the man was trying to return to his family in Michigan.

He apparently had been gone for several years.

Police still need help identifying the man.

He was 60-to-70 years old and wore a prosthesis below the knee and used crutches.

Police arrested 23-year-old Dustin Horton after confessing to the murder.

Police say Horton dumped the body in a garbage bin which ended up in the landfill.

Police are having a hard time identifying the man since his body was badly damaged and decomposed.
