ODESSA - Leading troopers on a high speed chase lands an Odessa mother behind bars. Even worse, authorities say 23-year-old Amanda Allen had her two kids in the car the whole time.

She's charged with a third degree felony charge of evading arrest in a vehicle.

It all started Saturday afternoon when a trooper tried to pull Allen over on South County Road 1270.

Allen refused to stop and reached speeds over 80 miles per hour.

Eventually she turned onto West County Road 150, drove another half mile and then stopped on a dirt road.

She got out of the car and was immediately arrested by troopers.

Allen was taken to the Midland County Detention Center.

No word on why the woman refused to stop.

Allen's two children were turned over to her mother.
