MONAHANS - Some good news regarding the housing crunch in Monahans.
Mayor David Cutbirth tells NewsWest 9, an apartment builder out of Canadian, Texas, has agreed to build between 40 to 80 units in town.
The rent will run between $400 to $1,000 a month depending on income.
The mayor says the contract with the builder will be coming in the next few weeks, but that the project will take a year and a half to complete.
