PERMIAN BASIN - Showers hit the Basin this past week but did it actually make a dent in our water levels?

The Colorado River Municipal Water District tells NewsWest 9, barely a drop.

Lake J.B. Thomas didn't get any rain and neither did the area surrounding the lake.

Over at Lake Spence, the town of Robert Lee saw some showers but as far as the lake level goes not much changed.

At Lake Ivie, three to four inches of rain fell around San Angelo.

The Lake could see an increase of three to four tenths of a percent.

Overall, the brief showers didn't bring much of a relief in breaking the drought.

We need about 14 inches to fall for that to happen.
