Staff Report

The attorney who allegedly pulled a gun on a Sweetwater police officer will have a new prosecutor assigned to his case.

Attorney John Young allegedly pulled a nine millimeter handgun at an officer when he was intoxicated back in June.

Young was representing missing teen Hailey Dunn's mother, Billie Dunn.

Nolan County Officials tell KTXS in Abilene that the District Attorney's Office took themselves off the case because of a conflict of interest.

Now the Attorney General's Office has been appointed as a special prosecutor to work the case.

Young has not yet been indicted on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He is out free after posting a $12,000 bond.
