Man Accused of Brutally Beating His Girlfriend

MIDLAND - Midland Police bust a man accused of brutally beating his girlfriend.

29-year-old Alexander Duran Macias was arrested on a first degree felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Officers were called out to a home in the 3800 block of Roosevelt Drive on Wednesday.

According to the affidavit, the victim told officers that the two got into a fight after Macias admitted that he cheated on her.

The woman says she hit Macias and then things quickly escalated.

Macias allegedly threatened her with a knife and even tried to choke her from behind.

The report says he also punched her in the jaw, dragged her through the front yard and kicked her several times.

The woman requested an emergency protection order against Macias and says he's made several threats to kill her and her children.
