A man charged with setting up a hoax against the Odessa Police Department has pleaded guilty to a similar charge in Williamson County.

Barry Cooper is with the group "Kopbusters" and formerly worked for the Permian Basin Drug Task Force.

You'll remember, back in 2008 Cooper's group took credit for planting a fake tip about a marijuana grow house in Ector County.

Cooper was charged for the incident, but it was dismissed.

He's now pleaded guilty to a similar hoax in Williamson County.

He was sentenced to a $250 fine and will spend four days in the Williamson County Jail.
