ECTOR COUNTY - An Ector County strip club has filed a lawsuit against Ector County and Union Pacific after a road leading to the business was shut down.
Jaguar's Gold Club alleges that County Commissioners and Union Pacific worked together to close Cargo Road, without getting any input from the public or the business itself.
They claim that's a violation of the open meetings act.
County Judge Susan Redford tells NewsWest 9, the decision to close the railroad crossing was for safety reasons.
According to Union Pacific studies, there have 14 collisions in 10 years at that spot and about 80 stuck cars on the tracks since March of 2009.
But Jaguars owners don't buy it, they say the alternate route to their Club is unsafe leaving many of their customers stuck on railroad tracks.
