ODESSA - The price for water in the City of Odessa may be going up.

That's if City Council members make the first approval of the proposal at their meeting on Tuesday.

The proposal would increase water rates by 10 percent.

That's because the Colorado River Municipal Water District is increasing their prices because of a debt incurred by the addition of a new pipeline.

If passed, the base price of water would go from $10.40 to $11.44.

Sewage would go up from $11.44 to $12.32.
