Midland Continues to Lead the State in Lowest Unemployment Rate

PERMIAN BASIN - When it comes to the unemployment rate, the Permian Basin has more people on the job.

Midland had the lowest June unemployment rate in the state at 5.2 percent.

Odessa came in with the third lowest unemployment rate at 6.9 percent.

The Lone Star State is also doing better than the rest of the country.

It was 8.2 percent in June which is a full percentage point below the nationwide unemployment rate.
